Independent Living is now accepting applications for FREE repairs on mobility products. That means that if you aren't in a position to be able to pay for the necessary repair of your powerchair, mobility scooter, walker, wheelchair or other mobility product, we can take a look at fixing it for you, free of charge.*
There are a number of simple ways to apply for a free repair. We just need you to do one of the below:
A) Use the form on this page
B) Print and fill out the manual form, take a picture of it and email it to repairs@ilsnz.org
C) Email or ring us with your details and the team can fill out the form on your behalf 0800 625 100
* Please note:
- that this Funding is intended for people on a restricted income or benefit living within the Auckland Metro area, so not all applications will be eligible for free repairs.
- there are a number of different brands and models of electric wheelchairs and we may not be able to repair every model. Call us with your equipment brand and model details to discuss your repair.
- if your mobility equipment was supplied by MOH, only MOH can do repairs.
