How we operate in the Red Traffic Light setting

Our customer and staff safety are our key priority at Independent Living, and we have been working hard over the summer break to ensure we can guarantee your safety at any time. Here’s what we’ve put in place so you can feel comfortable shopping or communicating with us:

All our staff are double vaccinated with over 64% already having received their booster shot (as at January 26).

Our stores continue to welcome anyone wearing a mask, or a valid exemption certificate. Hand sanitiser is available, and we will monitor numbers of people in store at any time to ensure safe social distancing. Please don’t visit our stores if you feel unwell or have recently been in in contact with a covid positive case.

Each store is now its own bubble to minimise any possible spread of Covid-19. This means our staff do not work at any other store, to aid customer and staff safety, as well as to ensure we can continue to trade during any large-scale community outbreak.

We are well stocked and now have new products in store thanks to some large shipments arriving over the summer break.

3 ways to buy ensures you can choose to shop in the way that most suits you:

  1. In-store - masked, with sanitiser available and limits on people allowed in store
  2. Call and collect - on 0800 625 100 with contactless collections at store front
  3. Online - at www.ilsnz.org with courier deliveries usually overnight.

We also offer online consultations if you want to have a virtual demonstration of a product or online chat to an assistive specialist. Just call 0800 625 100 to book a time that suits you.

Our services are all running:
Our Hire and repair offerings are available, as is our equipment cleaning and disinfection service.

The Community Services team and our Asian Advisory service are available for calls and to book community engagement presentations (note: covid protocols apply).

And as a Ministry of Health affiliated vaccination information provider, you are welcome to call us for your nearest accessible vaccination location or to understand more about the booster.

If you have any queries, please just call us on 0800 625 100 Monday to Saturday 9-4pm. We’re here to help you.
