KiwiRail: Seeking feedback on new stations in Southern Auckland
KiwiRail is working to improve the transport network in Southern Auckland by building three new train stations and electrifying the rail line between Papakura and Pukekohe. These projects are funded from the Government through its NZ Upgrade Programme.
KiwiRail is seeking feedback on two of the three stations: Drury Central and Paerata. Attached is the brochure that has been sent to the local area.
The brochure has the proposed layout of Drury Central and Paerata stations with artist’s impressions (indicative only) to give a feel of what the new stations will look like. We are seeking feedback on the Park & Ride and road accessways.
There are lots of ways to give feedback. You can provide feedback by going to the project webpage where there is an interactive map that allows you drop a pin on the locations related to your submission. People can also fill out the brochure and return with the freepost facility on the brochure; emailing Scott Winton, the Senior Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor at KiwiRail at scott.winton@kiwirail.co.nz ; or come to one of our in-person or online drop-in sessions.
Details of these drop-in sessions are on the attached brochure. There is also information in the brochure about our electrification to Pukekohe project.
KiwiRail is working with Auckland Transport and Waka Kotahi in partnership with Mana Whenua to improve the transport network in Southern Auckland.
