
Disability Support Services - Community Consultation 2025

The Disability Support Services Community Consultation opens on 10 February and runs until 24 March 2025. This consultation is focused on the 50,000 disabled people, and their whānau, who receive essential disability support after an assessment from:
- a Needs Assessment and Service Co-ordination (NASC) organisation, or
- an Enabling Good Lives (EGL) site.
How to engage and key dates:
There are several ways you can participate once consultation opens.
1. Attend an in-person event (note you must register here):
- Auckland Central 26 February, 1:30pm - 4:00pm at the Parnell Community Centre
- Auckland East 27 February, 10:00am - 12:30pm at the Michael's Ave Community Centre
- Auckland South 28 February, 10:00am - 12:30pm at the Pasifika Community Centre | Manukau Institute of Technology
Check the DSS website for sessions outside Auckland.
2. Attend an online briefing event (note you must register here):
- 12 February
- 20 February
- 3 March
- 5 March
- 19 March
3. Make a submission (either in writing or by video)
4. Complete a short survey (this is the quickest way to have your say and a link will be available once the consultation period begins). We will update this article with the link when it is available.
