Independent Living Mobility Equipment & Services
Here at Independent Living, we are committed to making daily life easier for disabled people and those living with impairments, by providing the disability equipment NZ can rely on. As a not-for-profit organisation we are your friendly community experts on all things related to disability and helping maintain independence. Many of us have experienced disability ourselves, so we understand what someone needs to live their best life.
We deliver a range of services including a Repairs Programme where we repair, refurbish, safety check and clean mobility equipment. As part of this programme we have funding available to offer a part-time three month contract for a disabled person to learn the repairs role, hopefully providing some great skills for further work opportunities.
Working alongside our Repairs Technician, you will learn a wide range of equipment repair skills, as well as getting out and about in the community as you liaise with our customers. This role is funded for a period of three months, at 12 hours per week (likely worked over three mornings) and is a wonderful opportunity for a disabled person to learn this trade from an expert technician.
